I wouldn't say this was a toning of the silver dollar but perhaps a reaction to dipping it into some sort of cleaning solution, the colour does seem a bit more pronounced/vivid on the Liberty side. What do the Morgan gurus have to say about the golden colour of this coin and likely cause? Thanks in advance for your input!

Wow, I will say that dollar has been around places ... Yeah, looks cleaned to me, and damaged, so a proper grade if this were my coin would be a VG-8 details at best. That cleaner may have been done awhile ago and it has retoned this strange yellow color. Another thought is that this coin could have been in a bezel or belt buckle hence the damage to the coin.

I agree with it being in a bezel. Maybe the yellow tint to it is from an old gold plating?
