Just a damaged dime and it is not silver, it is a copper/ nickel clad
over a copper core. Still worth 10 cents though

@max, first welcome to CCF. Second, a good way to confirm if you might have an off-metal strike is by measuring the weight.

90% silver dime coinage stopped mintage in 1964 keep looking. they are getting scarce to find but every once in a while one of them shows up |

Look at the side (rim) if clad no value then face value. If silver then you talk about.
