2016 D Shield Penny With Material Posing As DDR

Attached are a few photos of this 2016 D Shield Penny showing what looks like extra material on the Reverse within the 2nd U of Pluribus. Appears like those bar on columns DDRs. Does this make sense as the references do not indicate? I'm guessing it could be a long stretched die chip, but really does not appear as such.

Yes, looks like a die chip, just a long and narrow one.
