So it was found metal detecting, but it's not your coin? Then how do you know about it?

Is it too corroded or low grade to justify TPG restoration? Either way, given how you found it I would proudly let it fill the 1877 spot in an IHC collection. Congrats!!!

Found IHC metal detecting about 2 years ago. Think it was a 1894 but was sure hoping it was a 77 when I turned it over. Super nice find.

Hard to believe someone would bother to fake that rarity in that condition, much less losing it afterwards.
