This came in a lot of international coins last week. Right away I could tell that something was not right, as the color was off and it just didn't feel right.
UK 1 Farthing 1825 counterfeit. Diagnostics are 3.99 g, 21.7 mm diameter, and 1.4 mm thick vs. 4.72 g, 22 mm, and 1.65 mm for a genuine example.

Thank you, HondoB.

Do people collect counterfeits after they're proven to be fake?

Yes, they may refer to it as their "black cabinet" collection.

Thank you all!

Still a nice example for the black cabinet!

Yes, especially since it didn't cost me anything.

Absolutely! But mainly CCCs - contemporary circulating counterfeits. I think that new-model Chinese fakes are of little interest to anyone in a numismatic sense.

Thank you, jbuck and Hondo for your answers.
I know very little about old coins and counterfeits in general.
