My aunt has six of these 1979 1-ounce South African Krugerrands. From what I read, the value of a South African Krugerrand should be right around the spot price of one ounce of gold. As of this writing, that's $4,143.90.

Assuming that the price of gold holds steady at $4,143.90 per ounce, can I expect a dealer to pay slightly less than this for a Krugerrand (and charge slightly more to those who want to buy a Krugerrand)?

Can I get a better price if I sell all six of these Krugerrands to the same gold dealer, or do dealers not provide a better price for larger transactions?

I moved your thread to the Bullion forum. One of our experts will weigh in on your questions.

Please crop your images going forward - we don't need to see all that blank space.

I use sites like numista.com to get some idea of the value in case a coin happens to be a rare one. When I see pricing as below, it tells me that this coin does not have much value beyond the value of the metal.
Note that there are two versions for 1979 per this data from that site and the proof (which your coin does not appear to be) is worth as much as the non-proof and about the going price of 1 oz gold.

The pricing is a guideline and not a guarantee of what you might get but it will help you focus on potentially more rare coins.
