In a normal year, I might pay $130 for a three silver medal set. But these are copper-nickel and the size of a half dollar, which to me should cost $40 at best.

By the way, when I clicked to verify my link, I was thrown in the waiting room for four minutes.

The link is good. I checked the schedule, next release is tomorrow. I wonder if they are getting DDoS'd.

$40

Even $15 would be too much. The US Mint is doing little to attract new people to the hobby.

That is a good point. Everything costs way too much. The Mint needs new management.

To be clear, I meant $40 for the set, which is ~$13 each. Yes, I would be willing to pay that for these, but it could still be too much for most. Free market forces and all.

I can get this Bigfoot copper round for $3, and to me it's way cooler than any comic book characters.

It is cool.

I suppose I still [foolishly] give added value to official US Mint products.

I no longer feel that way because of their ridiculous prices, some of their recent products, and also some soon-to-be released items.
