Sharing my Spitting Horse. Not the best of shape but are there additional die cracks out the neck of the rider and elsewhere. Maybe just PMD beyond the "spit". Thanks for looking.

Nice spit
I'm wondering if the rest of the coin is a combination of wear and Struck Through Grease.
I recently found one (without the spitting) which looked like they spread the grease on like peanut butter!
