Just considering this coin for my 7070. Not familiar enough with V nickels, so asking y'all. Assuming it's not fake; Is it worth $60, and how would you grade it?   |

Well, it's still available after going on four hours. So, safe to say it's not a bargain in any case.

I suggest it grades in the VF20 range. A fair retail price would be more like $45.
But as a type coin for your 7070 you can do a lot better for less money if you choose a date from 1900 through 1912.
In that date range you can find mid-AU examples for ~$50.

Do NOT pay that much for an 83 no cents.
These coins can regularly found in really nice shape for 20-30 dollars or less.
The one I got initially cost I think like 15 bucks and to be honest I think it looks better than this.

Yeah, if your target is a nice problem-free XF coin with reasonably original surfaces, I think $50 including shipping will be a long wait. It's not impossible, of course—this forum is full of people's cherrypicks.
One thought: you might want to set up a second search for all "1883 nickel". Someone might post a nice example WITH Cents at a NO Cents price point. It'll be a hassle to cast the net that wide, but you might be rewarded with a cool coin.

Not so in saved searches. And as we know, it is common for sellers to inflate shipping costs. You can specify free shipping, which means shipping is included in the price.
