Hello all. Very long time vintage comic book collector here. In my teens I was collecting coins and comics (pretty much Archie type stuff). In 1969 when (yes) I was at the drug store (next door to our house) to get my batch of comics, a comic cover really grabbed my attention,.. Amazing Spider-Man #77. Long story short, and the rest is history,... I went full fledge comics. My only regrets are selling very cool collections because I had to, not because I wanted to.

Your invitation to jump into the fun on the "Coin Community Family" website.

. . . As a young kid, I also collected comic books; my favorite at the time was "Sgt. Fury and his Howling Commandos", and many others. I left for the service and came back to a nicely painted bedroom with no comic books or even my boxes of baseball cards.

Pre_Coder, welcome to the forum.
I too collected comics and Mad Magazines. Comics were all DC. Unfortunately my collection of comics, coins and stamps were all destroyed in a wild fire that destroyed our home in 1990. Fortunately my wife, children and pets we're all ok.

Again, welcome to the forum

Depending on where you live, you might be able to make it to the Beaumont Coin Show in Orange next weekend.
Inordinately fascinated by bits of metal with strange markings and figures
