Question, Why Is The 2024-S Jefferson Nickel Proof So Expensive?

Prices for 2020-s thru 2023-s are only a couple bucks, 2025-S is around $6 with the 2026-s around $15. Yet all the 2024-S I am seeing on ebay are $50 or more. Something seems off with this one.

Be patient, prices should drop once the clad proof set is released. The late release of the clad set is keeping the available supply relatively low.

I don't know about the clad version but the 2024 silver proof set is very expensive for what it is. Perhaps that's part of the mystery for why the 2024 nickel proof costs so much. But $50 sounds extreme. Set up a deal alert and you may find a good price eventually. It took me about a year of waiting but I recently picked up a full silver 2024 proof set for about half the going rate.
