The copper plating was worn off from circulation. It's not an error. The copper plating could of been chemically stripped off or it could be a Texas Cent, if it's larger in size. Errers and Varietys. JimmyD Bedrock of the Community Canada 21815 Posts	Posted Today 20M ago For one thing, the weight is not very light, a 1994 cent should weigh approximately 2.5g, just like yours. Also the "silver" you are seeing is probably the zinc core showing through in areas where the copper has worn down. Report this Post to the Staff
