1969-D Cent No FG Flating Roof - Coin Community Forum

KisNap Valued Member United States 483 Posts	Posted Today 11H 50M ago I cam across this coin and noticed the D was very weak. What causes that? Grease Filled Die? Then I did a search on it and found that it may be a minor variety with no FG and a floating roof. Does it have any value? Thanks. Report this Post to the Staff

The "No Roof" used to be a thing (early on)...but then it was discovered it was a very "common" thing because of the die polishing where it removed the pilers and the FG because clashes.
