I think it is PMD looks to me like it took a hit you can see some of the metal has moved. Still a good looking coin. |

I agree, looks like a scrape on the cheek.
But a mild bad mix of the copper alloy.

PMD although the Lincolns right eye, eyelid, eyebrow and surrounding relief is still intact?

Struck-throughs don't have peripheral raised edges.

I agree, some angles show what appear raised edges but some show a cleaner recess without. Thanks again for everyone's input. Still learning. Will double check under a microscope next.  |

OK, bear in mind that you cannot use the same file name over an over again on the same day.
You just over-wrote the first 5 images above with a 1919 cent you posted in another topic.
So, I'm going to remove the 5 images above that do not corelate to a 1955 cent.

you reused the same file names for the 1919 coin. You cannot do that. each image must be a unique name. These are the instructions that you get when posting an image:  So, you can re-take the images for your 1955 coin, then edit your post above and add the images. Or just get new images and post them to the end, and I can move them for you. |
