Quote: I finished 2 boxes last night. The first box 2 40% and the second box 13 40% and 1 1964. also 8 2026 and 7 NIFC's from both boxes. I've been waiting a long time for a change of luck. Fantastic!

Nice finds, Roller42. It's too bad about the last 2.

Friendly tellers at two local banks recently called to tell me that customers had cashed several rolls of half dollars. The five rolls I acquired at the first bank contained 100 Bicentennial half dollars -- the second time I have been "lucky" enough to find this kind of collection dump. The second dump was more interesting. When the teller handed me six rolls in Loomis wrappers, I could tell that another CRH already had searched through them because they were split on the side and then taped. But when I returned home I saw that two of the rolls had NIFC enders. I found two proof half dollars and several more NIFC coins in that roll. This pattern repeated in most of the remaining rolls. Eventually I found 10 proof coins and 32 uncirculated NIFCs in the six rolls (including an almost complete series of these low-mintage coins). I imagine that the other CRH was looking for silver, and either didn't recognize the proof coins and NIFCs (or doesn't collect them). The more interesting result is that 33% of the coins in the original Loomis rolls were from an older proof/NIFC collection dump. That's a large percentage of interesting coins to end up in BWRs. Imagine finding 42 half dollars from a silver coin collection dump in six Loomis rolls!
