2026 Trump Coin With Extra Circular Ring. Is It Post Mint Damage?

A1agrl Valued Member United States 197 Posts	Posted Today 2H 2M ago The extra circular ring on this Donald Trump dollar does not rest or cross in front or on top of the coins lettering, but instead is in the background with the letters minted over the line. How can this be? This came from a mint roll, and was not an ender, yet the line appears to pass "under" the higher lettering. How can this be post mint damage if the line goes behind the letters and date? Report this Post to the Staff

Are planchets subjected to a roller or tumbling devise prior to minting? Is it possible for a mint rolled coin, which was not an ender, to have a circular extra ring without it having carved through the higher elements/lettering. Report this Post to the Staff

What's odd is, unlike the examples referenced for comparison, which show damage to the higher elements, this extra collar does not even touch the higher lettering. The letters appear to float on top.
