This coin releases tomorrow. Is there ANY interest? The silence on this forum has been deafening. Yeah, I know it's expensive, and most of the intetest is probably in the accompanying silver medal (why can't they offer these separately)?

I've attached a Mint image that shows how the silver medal relates to the original St. Gaudens art; I never really made the connection till I saw it displayed this way. For me, the silver medal is not flattering to the original art. I'm curious what other folks may think.  |

The thousand dollar premium is unreasonable and prevents most people from considering this item. I'd probably be interested in this if not for that.

Don't think this will sell out any time soon once available, just the economy not helping people to shop.
The medal design turned me off.

But I'd score it 7 out of 10. The quarters medal design is ok, wish her shield was round and a little more artwork on the reverse...score 8.5 out of 10 The half dollar medal design, obverse is dodo IMO and the reverse is just a bit better which brings its score to 3 out of 10. The dollar medal design is a homerun...10 out of 10 I'll wait to give the St. Gaudens medal a score until I get it in hand but for now looks like a 5 out of 10. |

I'm a buyer but the price of gold makes me a little sick. I don't expect anywhere near a sell out but I do like the sets overall.

The price is officially listed at $5,490 (down a bit from the last one due to the decreased price of gold, I suppose, but still an awfully high premium].
But, yes, I am planning on getting this (or, at least, planning to try to get one). In for a penny, in for a pound as they say, and I have the other four. Methinks I won't be buying much else from the mint for the next few years, if ever.

BM4 started at 11.0K available (with 2K still available 28 days later), BM5 shows 12.3K available currently.
