By my standards I had a very successful visit to the Coinstar today! A 2006-P US nickel, 2021 Canadian dime, 22p in spendable British money, a nice bronze token and 10 eurocents, which on closer inspection included a 2003-F German 2c, an addition to my collection!

A Canadian dime and a toonie today: (The toonie was still on the shelf in a clear plasic bag. They didn't even bother to run it into the machine.

Maybe $2.40 in US change. 1954 British Six Pence Roy Rogers "lucky piece" token from the 1950's 1971 British 1 Penny A note on the latter: It says "New Penny" commemorating the 1971 UK transition to the decimal. Some sellers on ebay have these 1971's listed for hundreds of dollars. These are worth only face value as 1.52 billion were minted.

Great haul, deadmunny! Quote:It says "New Penny" commemorating the 1971 UK transition to the decimal. Some sellers on ebay have these 1971's listed for hundreds of dollars. These are worth only face value as 1.52 billion were minted. This really annoys me. It's the most common UK coin ever minted, and after 55 years is still one of the most common dates of 1p coins in circulation. All over the world whenever I look through a dealer's junk tray I see 1971 pennies. In South Africa a couple of years ago I bought a whole lot for face value and repatriated them as the dealer just wanted to get rid of the darn things!
