It's been a while since I ran across an unfamiliar mint error term. What is a copperwash error?

Never heard of that term. It'll be interesting to learn what it means.

Its another archaic term for annealing errors.

I seem to remember that we were just discussing this in the context of improperly annealed planchets and sintered planchets.

CoinHI called it.
It is an early term for improper annealing.

It has happened on both sides. Improperly annealing process. Look closer on the obverse. What do you see?

The images in the ebay link show a yellowish tint from a reflection @ k3 to the center and then up to k12.

I can't tell if the discoloration @ IGWT and below the point of the bust is coin discoloration or reflection.
