So I have this 1982 Penny that is missing letters on the reverse. Is this anything worth keeping or is it a common thing?

That is fairly common - the obverse design of Lincoln's bust took up much of the copper to form and not leaving enough for the reverse.
Take note that the very tops of the reverse letters are just fine - this is because that is where the bust ends and the small gap from the bust to the rim is.

I agree with Dearborn. That's most likely the cause.
