That's pretty impressive, Tim.

That would be a very good way to build a collection. I know I should roll hunt, but it seems like it would be so boring! Different strokes for different folks, right?

Thanks, the reason why I get most of my coins from circulation is that I don't have a lot of money to spend on coins.

For those of you who are roll searching, what do you do with the coins you don't want. My boys are collecting State Quarters at the moment, so I bought several rolls at the bank last Saturday. I asked about depositing the loose coins when we were done searching and the teller told me that they charge 7% to run coins through their machine if I brought in more than a handful to deposit. Though that was a little pricey!

I didn't think to add this when posting earlier-
if you're trying to find a coin of a specific post 1950 year, and not a penny, take a bunch of loose change to a vending machine- mark your coins and put them in, then keep hitting 'coin return' until you get your marked coin back again. Cycling through, and adding a useless coin in exchange for one you want to keep, lets you see hundreds of coins and pay face for only the ones you want. Trick is finding a vending machine in a quiet spot with a working coin return!

here are myt 2 pennies

decide on what you want the wordls best your countrys best states best you community's best or whatever

once you have a vision of what you want to do check out the prices and then adjust your vision accordingly

dont fall in the upgrade trap. I never bought a coin where I paid more than $5 and regretted it.
