OK... I'm new to Forums so I may not do this 100% right.
I have a huge collection of foreign coins, all categorized, priced and in nice little jackets. They were given to me by a close friend who knows less than me. Some are very cool, Ancient stuff - Roman (Caesar etc.)

But the stuff that really piqued my curiosity is about 40-50 CLAY COINS, mostly German I think.

Anyone have any idea what they are or what they are worth ? I would settle where to find info on them. I have been Googling every possibility unsuccessfully.

Thanks to everyone in advance.

Probably will be the German Porcelain notgeld, they come in many different varieties and forms, and vary quite a bit in value. There is a huge range of them for sale at this link http://www.germancoins.com/porcelai...rcelain.html

Definitely German, the coins say "Freiberg Mint", and are in the denomination of 1 mark, 50 pfennig, and 25 pfennig.

Ooops, didn't realize there was a second post there, and I was identifying the already-identified ones :)

Keep in mind though that "Münze" can mean both "coin" and "mint". In this case the inscription "Freiberger Münze" means a coin from (or issued by) Freiberg. Actually there used to be a mint near Freiberg at that time - in Muldenhütten. But as yarm wrote, these porcelain pieces, with the crossed swords as "mintmark", are from Meissen.
