Dug this linc out of my flower garden. After reading the pro & con of coin cleaning decided to send it to a jeweller friend and see what he could do. Here's the results. To bad it had to be cleaned to see the die gouges & doubling.

Interesting coin and I would say, in this case, it was worth cleaning.

I think he used acetone to clean the coin. It will not hurt the coin. As long as you do not polish it .
