coop Bedrock of the Community United States 62064 Posts	Posted 08/25/2011 12:59 am With two light sources you get reflection off the devices that make it appear doubled, but when you remove one light source the doubling disappears. I think I see notching (most prevalent in the left of bottom of the A) and also in both serifs of the M. The second and third images are taken at slightly different angles (and if I am not crazy show doubling under the bottom of the serif in the R) Tell me what you think. coppercoins Pillar of the Community United States 7629 Posts	Posted 08/26/2011 12:20 pm I would like to see images of that area of the coin with only ONE direction of lighting. Shining light onto the coin from two different directions while taking a photo is always going to look like doubling - visual illusion. Report this Post to the Staff
jdavis18 Pillar of the Community United States 561 Posts	Posted 08/26/2011 1:35 pm The second time I took the pictures I thought I got rid of the second light supply. I guess I was wrong. I took the pictures again in direct sunlight without flash and I didn't see what I saw earlier. Thanks for the lesson. Soon I am sure I will get this right and stop wasting everyone's time.
