bromac Valued Member Canada 195 Posts	Posted 02/13/2005 6:07 pm I couldn't read the link either but I can give you my 1¢ (I won't use the "P" word in case someone from CT is lurking around)story.In the early 60's I lived in Windsor Ontario,which as many of you know is just across the river from Detroit. The story was that because many people hoarded them in jars etc.1¢ coins were in short supply so some bank was offering 50 cent peices for 49¢. It sounds like a good story and I never checked it myself. A fact totally unrelated to coins is that Windsor is actually south of Detroit. Bill Report this Post to the Staff
