I received my "American" in the mail today. It is, of course, a very nice coin. However, the design is not my favorite. The little girl must be leeward of some large, unseen shelter because the flags in the background are 90° to their staffs while her long hair hangs straight down, untouched by the wind. </nitpick>
I would like to see that Memorial Park some day. Just not sure when I will ever get to the Northern Mariana Islands.

I started collecting this series with the 2013 Mint P issues. Fortunately, I have been able to accumulate almost all of the 2010, 2011 and 2012 issues (still need Hawaii) for reasonably inexpensive prices-especially compared to the original issue price. While I love the series and wish I had a safe way to display it, I'd be fibbing if I said my wallet and I can't wait until the grand finale next year!
LOL is right!

Quote: ...I can't wait until the grand finale next year! According to the US Mint ( https://www.usmint.gov/learn/coin-a...l-quarters), the final coin will be released in 2021 - as a sole ATB release that year. While this is not a problem for aficionados of the P and bullion 5 oz coins, those that collect the quarter (silver) proof sets will not be happy I can imagine. Will there be a proof set with just one coin in it? Why did the US Mint not move the final release to 2020 and have six instead of five coins released that year.

Perhaps they have visions of a proof set quarter sitting by itself like the first innovation dollar.

Yes. It looked rather pathetic, especially with the bland obverse. If ever there was a coin that needed to be cracked it was that one.
