I believe that was actually the "PLURIBUS" variety of green spotting...but I'm sure it would have worked on UNUM as well...had the spot been there...

Is there a squeeze bottle that will work with acetone? I'll bet a pinpoint spray would remove loose stuff.

Yes there are some lab type squeeze bottles that will work.

Well, I'm not done yet. After the scare on the obverse, I started looking at the coin under significant magnification, and I've found little spots all over it. Still. This is worse than I thought.
