My coin dealer had the same thing, 5 jars of wheats. He did however only charge 5cents each, but still let me look through them for as long as I wanted. I went through every penny and I ended up finding a 1922D, a 1912D, and a 1909VDB. Wasn't a bad score for 15cents. My dealer mostly deals in silver and gold coinage, so he bought the collection of wheat pennies and doesn't have time to search through them.
I just like looking though the pennies. If you don't find anything you like, then don't buy anything, but you just might end up finding something worth that $2.
