Love your Canadian Coins Kannon! IMHO, I prefer Slab coins. 99.9% of all reputable graders (NGC, PCGS, and ANACS) slabbed coins are genuine, not counterfeits.

That's what I was thinking as well.
At least when it comes to the expensive coins going forward. I don't mind buying bullion from the standard houses, and getting what I get...
but when it comes to multi-thousand dollar investments, even if it isn't necessarily for grade, I'd still feel better getting a graded coin than not a graded coin.
I was also slowly building up the confidence to get a gold 1 oz bullion, but the price is so expensive that I feel like getting a graded bullion, even if not for the grade, to justify the purchase and validate that it is in fact, real.

That is why my most expensive coins ( not many) are and need to be inside a reputable grading company slab. But, you also need to be careful; there are also counterfeit slabs; luckily, they are easier to recognize as fake. I feel, and many others do, feel more secure with a coin inside a slab than in a 2X2 cardboard holder. I can't believe anyone would argue about that, but I'm sure some would.
