Thanks for sharing that picture Walter. Can I just ask if all of the rare coins you are posting are owned by a single collector or several? Regardless they are amazing coins.

The 1911 above is in a private collection, the rest can be found at the Museum of Victoria.

Is there a numismatic display at the museum of Victoria that visitors can see?

Nancy wins! From what I have noticed the penny and half penny for 1922 are generally poorly struck and the obverse has a very low rim which results in heavy wear. A few nice errors there nancy. I especially like the rotation. I'm going to have to go check for them now.

That rotated die threepence is a lovely coin, ford_prefect. Don't see many of those... Is it my eyes, the second 2 in the date looks much thicker than the first ?

Maybe F_P should have a real good look to make sure it's not a 1922 over 21 Overdate.

The second 2 is much fatter, not a 21/22 O.D allas Excess wear I'd say. I'm only aware of one other '22 90deg rotation 3d and it's with the good Doctor Peter A. Quote: Maybe F_P should have a real good look to make sure it's not a 1922 over 21 Overdate. He has, it could be a very early attempt to alter an otherwise useless coin. Thanks for the welcome Nancy, but I've been a member here for about four years now.
