I thought I would show some of my "circulation coins", which I acquired from the Commonwealth Savings Bank in the early 1970's. These halfpennies are in "street condition" . However, I am loath to part with them because they are a nice reminder of my childhood collecting.
You could get 12 halfpennies for 5 cents from the bank in those days. Mind you, you could also get a packet of Twisties (cheese flavored savories) for that price, or 5 "Redskin" soft candy sticks so it was not always an easy decision

Squire

I can't find my Halfpennies. I had them out a month or so ago and must have done something daft with them, like put them in a 'safe' place.

I found this 1915H Halfpenny that I had put aside to send overseas, so I guess it's better than nothing.
