Feels like I have just come out of hibernation. Up until this week all raids to foreign shores were unsuccessful and a lot of the time the bidding was suicidal and as we all know set your limit and if it goes above there is always another day.

Here is a few I managed to snaffle an 1887 specimen set with all but the shilling in UNC with the Half crown, crown, DF, and Florin in excellent condition. Also another 1887 DF AU/UNC details with some minor hairlines . I also through the colonial link cheekily put 3 x South African Half crowns 1895-6-7 . Sorry pics are a tad flat and blurry just one of them days struggling for correct lighting

I am very pleased with this one, which arrived today.
1773 Halfpenny, Regal issue. On UK grading this would get an AU, on US I guess some level of MS. In hand it has much more lustre in the crevices than my photo has picked up.
The extraneous metal in the trident handle is an interesting anomaly.

Thanks Spyro - it is certainly one of the best I have seen. It was in an auction mainly selling stamps with just a dozen or so coin lots towards the end. I guess most coin buyers missed it as I got it much cheaper than I expected.
I have 1771 and 1772 also in pretty good condition. Still looking for 1770, 1774 and 1775 in similar grades to complete a really good run!
Herewith the 1771 and 1772:

Lovely coppers, Paddy, and "retaining subtle hints of original mint bloom," as some auction houses we know would put it!

Well done, sir.
