daltonista Pillar of the Community United States 1058 Posts	Posted 11/28/2025 01:32 am This week's contribution from my Regency Era collection is a speckle-toned silver shilling token issued in 1811 by one Richard Hall, an "ironmonger" -- probably what we'd now call a hardware store -- located in the Market Place at Poulton-le-Fylde in Lancashire. Census records show that fewer than a thousand people lived in Poulton at the time, which is why so few of these were issued and why only a tiny number have survived for today's collectors and museums.
