Elbesaar Rest in Peace United States 699 Posts	Posted 03/22/2017 10:48 am The 1896 Half that I crossed from NGC 65 to PCGS 65 - subsequently sent to CAC was returned yesterday...Its got a new Green Bean attached !! Yesterday, my YN talked me into this, a 1908 V nickel in PCGS 62 with a Gold CAC.... I have two MS 64's - an AU 58 and an AU 50.... I wasn't nuts about paying MS 65 money for it either.... Elbesaar Rest in Peace United States 699 Posts	Posted 03/28/2017 10:11 am If anyone is into Proof Barbers, I'd suggest looking at the Stacks-Bowers upcoming auction on March 30th ... " The Blue Moon Collection - Part One". There are a number of mid to lower graded coins that look some what undergraded. Of course, there is nothing like an in hand inspection. I am bidding on a Proof Liberty Head Nickel - far from a High End Grade. It looks like a nice coin and should blend in with my 63-66 Proof Set. As you must realize, MS Barber "V" Nickels are considerably more expensive than the Proof versions. I'll let you know how I make out. My fingers are crossed.
