I suppose this is more a collectable than for stacking. I've never owned a Mexico gold Libertad. They are usually low mintage with higher premiums than other gold bullion. I often try to buy closest to melt. But I decided to get a Libertad this month. Here's my 1/2 oz 2018, mintage 1,250. Got it from Liberty Coin. Mexico also makes proofs and reverse proofs which are more expensive. These do not have any security features like the Britannia or Maple Leaf.

They aren't special but the American Eagle silver coins are quite amazing. Picked up a few more of these bad boys today.

Cool addition...unfortunate pair of dings (reeding hit?) on the center obverse.
