1898 50c Bidding Anomaly, You Decide

It's terrible that this is happening. I've heard throughout the years certain sellers having friends pump up bids on their coins. Also sellers can open another E-bay account at their work I.P. address and start pumping up bids this way.
Whoever is doing this unethical behaviour must be targeting items that they know will eventually command a higher premium/biding war.
I was under the impression that you were allowed a maximum of "six bid retractions" within calendar year? Has this policy changed?
E-bay is a BRAND NEW market place that's barely 15 years old and is growing every year by leaps and bounds.
It is said that if E-bay were a country, it would be the 4rth most populous country in the world! I'm sure the technical staff at E-bay still have a lot of snags to work out which will be a hit and miss trial/error development over the next 1/4 Century until things are perfected and all Loop Holes are closed once and for all!

This is true, but so is Amazon. And the customer service and seller support between the two e-companies is orders of magnitude apart.

ebay does not really care about small sellers and buyers, but is focused on trying to steal Amazon's market share.
I remember buying an item from Amazon and did not receive it. I contacted Amazon and received a replacement 3 days later. I also remember having a similar problem with ebay and was told "We are a venue and do not get involved in seller-buyer disputes."

Don't expect ebay to get involved in any resolution regarding shill bidding that will impact their bottom line.
