Susuman,
What TPG are you using?

For coins, I have been using PCGS. I have not made a decision on where to send banknotes.

Susuman, I would agree to use the same company for your banknotes.

PCGS sold off its note grading business as an independent company, PCGS Currency is actually not affiliated with PCGS at all and requires a separate "club fee" to join.

You can use PCGS Currency as a TPG without joining by using one of their extensive list of authorized dealers.

Hello all on this very old thread. I finally submitted the note. It is on its way back from PMG with a grade of 30. I will post a scan once it arrives.

It is still a really hard note to put a value on.

A very worthy bump of an almost-six-year-old thread! Excellent note, by the way.

Looking forward to the photos!

A PMG VF-25 sold at Heritage last month for $1920. Not including that one, there are 21 of these notes documented.

Interesting older thread. I was seeing members names I didn't recognize.

I would venture to guess auction estimates would be $2K - $2.5K, even more if it had garnished an EPQ designation. The note faces up nice for a VF grade. It may have been pressed in the past with a lower right corner fold fairly visible. Any VF or better Fr.1609* or Fr.1610* would be a trophy small sized star note in my collection.

Very difficult note, no argument, and I would strongly recommend PNG - especially given some rumors flying around about PCGS Currency.
