That's a big time acquisition 1960NYGiants!
Anyone else pick up anything from Part II of the Partrick sale? I (again) was the underbidder on both of the Riseing Sun Tavern Blacksmith examples and completely struck out between both sales... Going to have to wait for another one!

@ironhorse
The McCarthy token is Charlton PE-3A or 3B. Also uniface but reads DMC for the 3A or DMC P.E.I in two lines for 3B. Both are rated Extremely Rare.
@okiecoiner
Maybe in October?

@ironhorse
It appears that Geoff Bell and Charlton have a difference of opinion as to McCarthy vs. McCausland

UPDATE on this one: I returned it for refund as it arrived all buffed and whizzed The photos don't show it, but all the high points had a mirror finish. So just a heads up to anyone interested as I am sure it will get relisted.

My first proof Canadian token acquired in 1990. I first came across proof Canadian tokens at the Long Beach show in 1990 when I purchased the example above from Saul Hendler, a Canadian dealer. My idea was to put together a proof set of the 7 types of penny/halfpenny pairs cataloged in Charlton. However, it was much tougher than I thought it would be and by 1997 the set was only half completed when I quit collecting. When the collecting bug bit again in 2006, I began adding a piece here and there until only the Mayflower tokens of Nova Scotia remained. I had to consider whether it was realistic to acquire the Nova Scotia penny and halfpenny tokens in proof. It was the Robins' sales that had my head spinning with MS/SP/PF examples. After searching so long, I opted to include mint states examples of the Mayflower tokens in an otherwise proof set. Here's the set of 14 tokens (all NGC graded except PC-2B from PCGS). Many of these tokens were graded almost 15 years ago and do not appear in the NGC census.

Beautiful coin and an amazing collection you should be proud. Congrats. Any chance of seeing the NB-2A it's one of my favourite tokens.
Cheers, Bill

"Any chance of seeing the NB-2A it's one of my favourite tokens." I'm digging around for images of the penny but in the meantime here's the halfpenny.
