Looks like the Mexico 8 reales coins are popular today. Maybe 1808 is a really common year?

Looks like the Mexico 8 reales coins are popular today. Maybe 1808 is a really common year? 1808 was a transition year with some coins minted under Ferdinand VII. So the 8 reales of Charles VI should be less common but perhaps more popular with collectors. Here's the Ferdinand VII from 1808.  Edited by jgenn

Of course, I suppose any world-class counterfeiting operation would hack into the NGC database and plant images of their coins there. |
