Apparently, they were made in England. This is one of the two most common years, which are 1882H and 1888. Interestingly, these coins have slightly more gold than two US $1 coins. They are pretty cheap, but the premium is a bit too high to be considered a bullion coin. The Canadian gold coin I'd like to get is the $10.00. Fortunately, a big hoard was recently released from Government vaults, so they aren't terribly expensive or rare these days. Report this Post to the Staff
