My lowest mintage coin (but not rarest) is a 1913 1 Korona from Hungary, just 5214 minted (dipped, cleaned with parallel scratches).

Not particularly rare, but less common, the 1903 Halfcrown has the 2nd lowest mintage number of any Halfcrown since 1842

Post-Your-Lowest-Mintage-Coin......

276k issued just 105k more than the legendary 1905 coin.

This coin is good value for $175NZD, for that price you usually get a aGood to Good example, this coin is gVG heading towards aFine.

New Zealand is full of low mintage coin sets. After the 1965/67 last predecimal and first decimal sets which had mintages in the 100ks - numbers dropped off with the novelty.

This 1990 set - just 18k

Post-Your-Lowest-Mintage-Coin......

Numbers dropped down to a few thousands in the 90s and by 2014 just 750 sets.

My rarest is rarer than the 1935 set - its a ballot set of 1965 - it has standard proof coins, but this was issued in only 400 sets in this case.

Red Book says 2000 struck and that is the combined total for ALL varieties.
This one is an S-3 and Snow says about 20% for this variety.
That means 400.

Here is my rarest Canadian coin...the 1939 Specimen quarter was likely struck to order by a couple of collectors back in the day, or may have been Struck as a proof of record for the mint..this created a modern mega rarity with only 3 Specimens certified at PCGS. It is likely there are no more than the 3 certified examples out there in public hands, along with one or two housed in the bank of Canada's permanent Collection...

17,477 is the true Mintage . No pics , I do not want anyone coming to my house . It's possible that they're lower mintages but I like this one .

For a standard issue US coin, that is non-proof this has a remarkably low mintage. Look it up, you may be surprised!
