I was given some coins by my father a while back (mostly old Danish silver coins and some foreign, a 1889 Morgan silver dollar among them). Well, I was taken with the visual appeal and the design of them, so I started collecting. There is a local flea-market where I live, where a few guys sell coins so I go there every week with my kid and have a look at what they have. Bought my favorite coin there, a 1760 pillar dollar. I'm thinking about making pillar dollars the focus of my collecting, sadly they are quite expensive so it will be a while before I can get another. Hope to poke about here and learn something. My second much "bigger" purchase was the Big Coin re-issue set of 2017. One of my interests is RCM coins and how they are distributed and marketed through TSC and other outlets. Seems like this group knows far more about the subject than me. I went to an Annual Meeting of the RCM last week and asked a couple of questions about things I was curious about. I was interested in the pricing and distribution of the two most recent Big Coin series to the general public and others. Report this Post to the Staff

I live in Lancaster, PA, 71 years old, married with 3 children. I love old cars of which I have a 72 Cutlass convertible and a 70 Vette convertible. I have been collecting coins since age 12, on and off, depending where I was in life. I ice skate as often as I can. I was graduated from Liberty High School Bethlehem, PA, Philadelphia College of Pharmacy and Science with a B. Sc. in biology. I served two years in the U. S. Army. I am a Viet Nam Vet.
