Born in "Upstate" NY (Rochester). Lived in the West, Midwest, deep South, and retired in SE VA. Spent almost 40 years working for DA and have been all over Europe, North America, Southeast and Southwest Asia. Even got to be a "Brass Monkey" when I accidently flew into Yougoslavia in 1970. Most interesting places; Iceland, Guatemala, Panama, Penang, and the NW Canadaian coast line.

Hello my namr is steve, I'm from the US in sunny California. I love collecting coins , I've done it for years. I'm really into error coins. Last night I was going threw a bag of coins that a friend gave me, I came across a 2001 Lincon penny. The penny was in pretty good condition , when I flipped it over I noticed that the words "WE TRUST" were missing. Part of Lincons nose was missing aswell. I was hopeing that some might have some information about this coin. I have been collecting error coins for around 20 years off and on. If anyone has heard of or knows where I can look up any info on this coin it would be greatly appericiated.
Thanks for your time and input,
Steven Mendoza

Words can't describe how excited I am about finding this forum. There just isn't anyone in my area to talk "coins" with or, they don't want you to know where they are. Anyway, I have tons of questions as you will see. I'm in Ohio. I have all sorts of coins but, seem to have a liking of Morgan dollars. For many many many years I just dropped change in a box and now I have a ton of barely circulated coins. Some are very good as they came from the vending machine where I worked at that time. It seems like vending machines can give some nice change. I just got my first 2010 D nickel froma vending machine yesterday. Well, that's all for now. Catch you all later with some questions. Maybe sometime, I will have answers for other newbies. Jim
