Very cool (or hot?). So which side was on the heat... the colored side?

I flipped coin but was mostly sitting with reverse side down.

For me, The Ike was head side up, used a propane torch.
The coin was sitting on stainless steel, the reverse
is solid blue/purple.

If I had to guess the OP's coin was tail side up, but
sitting on a hot stove .. but just my guess.

Still had trouble getting picture of the color.

This is clad proof coin ... Imagine the mirrored
fields under the color
