For a coin this size, it looks great to me - I'll say at least 64, despite reverse wing ticks.

Really impossible to say from pics alone for sure. But it's a super-looking coin.
Rest in Peace

Beautiful coin but it is tough to decide from those photos if there is a bit of slide or not. Either an AU-58 or a MS-64. In-hand grading pretty much a must.

Looks MS65 to me with a strikingly beautiful obverse that looks MS66. The reverse has a few more contact marks and a slightly weak strike that should hold the grade to 65. The 1908 NM Saint is very common in MS65 and brings a relatively small premium to melt these days. Current Bid is around $1530 with Retail being about $1600 to $1700.

I lean that way too. It ranks with the best obverses I've seen for this coin based on these pics. It's hard to find a flaw.

The 1908 No Motto double eagle is tough to grade and sometimes even hard to authenticate. The issue is marked by indifferent strikes, subdued luster and a lack of sharpness. What looks like wear might be a soft strike. It's hard to tell what is from these photos.

My first double eagle was an example of this coin which I bought for $75 in the mid 1960s when I was in high school. That was a high price for a common date double eagle back then. Today it's in an NGC MS-64 holder. I'll post pictures of it tomorrow.
