OK...the coin arrived, and it's 100% a CAM!  It's great when hunches pay off--just made my day!  For now, a quick shot in the proof set plastic.  Edited by Thulium

Congrats! I've never seen a proof cent up close, so I didn't know the Memorial bays were cameo as well. A new lesson every day here at ccf!

Thanks...it took a lot of searching to find this one. I now have 2 1999 CAMs, and hope to find a 98 CAM now. Hey, if I find another '99 CAM, I'll send you the link. Edited by Thulium

I've calculated the incidence of Close AM to normal proof is something around 1/1000--but probably less since many have already been found. Edited by Thulium
