The Stone Mountain Memorial half dollar was an American fifty-cent piece struck in 1925 at the Philadelphia Mint. Its main purpose was to raise money on behalf of the Stone Mountain Confederate Monumental Association for the Stone Mountain Memorial near Atlanta, Georgia. Designed by sculptor Gutzon Borglum, the coin features a depiction of Confederate generals Robert E. Lee and Stonewall Jackson on the obverse and the caption: "Memorial to the Valor of the Soldier of the South" on the reverse. The piece was also originally intended to be in memory of the recently deceased president, Warren G. Harding, but no mention of him appears on the coin. From Wikipedia
I hope that the mods are cool with me reanimating this thread for 2018. If not, I'm fine with it being split it out as a separate thread. Post your appropriate coins and tokens for Memorial Day 2018!

Here's one my Dad gave me a long time ago - the closest coin that may or may not be relative to this thread - let me know about it what you can. If I recall it's 50% silver?
Edit - I forgot to say my father is 95 and still alive (barely) and a veteran. I don't know what or where but he would NEVER talk about his service in WWII.
That's a great coin from your father Mark! I had no idea something like that even existed. My dad never talked about the war either. He would have been 100 this year if he had lived. He was a flight engineer on a B-17, out of a place called Bassingborne, England during the war. I found his DD214 after he died. His enlistment date was 13 Dec 1941, 6 days after Pearl Harbor. They were the greatest generation!
