commems CCF Master Historian of USA Commemoratives United States 12404 Posts	Posted 04/13/2020 10:56 pm A pair of the Official Medals for the Lewis & Clark Exposition held in Portland, OR in 1905. The Exposition was held to mark the 100 the anniversary of the L&C expedition through the newly-acquired Louisiana Territory plus the Oregon Territory. I also have a nice HK-327 (the bronze version) to complete the set, but it was too shy to be imaged this evening. (I'll post it soon.) The HK-325 medal is silver, the HK-326 is gold-plated bronze. commems CCF Master Historian of USA Commemoratives United States 12404 Posts	Posted 04/14/2020 9:50 pm Here's a pair of Official Medals from the Louisiana Purchase Exposition that was held in St. Louis in 1904 to celebrate the 100th anniversary of the Louisiana Purchase. The Expo had a planned opening in 1903 (the actual centennial anniversary) but was delayed; it opened on April 30, 1904 and closed on December 1, 1904. It took a long time for me to get half decent at picture taking. Now the old pics look bad. They need replaced. It was a good exercise over time. I appreciate CCF allowing the space to do it too.
