Quote: Here's a pretty scarce silver Bank of Ireland halfcrown token, denominated XXX Pence, dated 1808, and toned steely grey. Very nice!

Fantastic tokens, Skippy Topaz! And I agree with NumisEd - excellent job with the arrangement and photography! Edit: If you're not familiar with it, you might want to get a copy of The Atwood-Coffee Catalogue of United States and Canadian Transportation Tokens: Vol. I Hardcover - January 1, 2007 - Describes in detail, and gives approximate market value of every known transportation token issued in the United States, US posssessions and Canada, up to Dec 2006. Includes an index providing instant identification of any token.

Thanks for the book suggestion, I'll have a look for it, could be fun to look through. Though, I'm less interested in how much they are worth than I am in finding interesting designs. That's a big reason I enjoy exonumia because there seems to be an infinite amount of all kinds of things with attractive design to collect.. This is a neat little transit token from Oneonta that I found at a flea market.. and when I say little, I mean little .. this thing (like so many transit tokens) is the size (if not smaller) than a dime
