Continuing my auction prep, I came across this 28mm copper one-dollar token from British North Borneo in a box of colonial "extras" opened last week for the first time since the 1990's.
Apparently in continuous use over the first two decades of the last century, these undated tokens were issued in payment to workers on the Labuk Planting Company's hemp plantations and then circulated widely in the colony with the government's blessing.
The hemp went on to Hong Kong where it was made into high-quality rope.

This one tickled me because now I can give my 2¢ worth. Note: do not use the word blocked out as part of the file name or the CCF software will automatically lock your account until bobby graciously liberates you.   Inordinately fascinated by bits of metal with strange markings and figures
